Science Medical(PCB)

The Science stream with a medical focus is chosen by students interested in healthcare, medicine, and biological sciences. It includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, but does not include Mathematics as a core subject. This path builds a strong foundation in understanding living systems, the human body, and scientific processes, preparing students for careers in medicine, dentistry, biotechnology, and related fields.

Subjects You'll Study:

1. Physics
What it is:

Physics explores the natural laws that govern the physical world — from the motion of objects to the behavior of energy, light, and matter.

What you’ll learn:
  • Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work & Energy
  • Thermodynamics, Waves, Sound
  • Optics, Modern Physics, Nuclear Physics
  • Electricity and Magnetism
Why it matters:

A core subject for NEET, and essential for careers in medicine, research, and technology.

2.Chemistry
What it is:

Chemistry is the science of substances — their structure, reactions, and properties.

What you’ll learn:
  • Physical Chemistry: Mole Concept, Thermodynamics
  • Inorganic Chemistry: Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding
  • Organic Chemistry: Hydrocarbons, Functional Groups, Reactions
Why it matters:

Vital for NEET, pharmacy, biotechnology, and chemical research fields.

3.Biology
What it is:

Biology is the study of life – from cells and DNA to ecosystems and human physiology.

What you’ll learn:
  • Cell Biology, Genetics, and Evolution
  • Plant Physiology and Animal Anatomy
  • Human Body Systems (Digestive, Circulatory, etc.)
  • Ecology, Health & Disease, Biotechnology
Why it matters:

Mandatory for NEET and any life-science related career (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, research, etc.).

4.English
What it is:

A core language subject that develops communication and critical thinking skills.

What you’ll learn:
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Grammar and Vocabulary
  • Writing Skills (letters, articles, reports)
  • Prose, Poetry, and Drama
Why it matters:

Essential for all professional communication, interviews, CUET, and essay-based exams.

5.Optional Subjects (choose one, if offered):
  • Mathematics – Optional for those considering PCMB or research/data science careers
  • Physical Education (PE) – Scoring subject; focuses on fitness, health, and sports
  • Informatics Practices (IP) – Basics of programming, data, and digital systems
  • Psychology – Human behavior, learning, mental processes
